Added: 4/21/2004 - Version:12.02 - Revision: 317 - Article ID#: F000074
There is a new switch, (Menu 98, Option 425, Switch 14) that forces the system to go to
the yield management screen on any reservation change that affects rates. This can be very
useful as it allows the reservationist to inform the guest of the new rates that result from
reservation changes.
For example, assume there is an existing reservation for 5/1/2006 at
"RACK" and 5/2/2006 for "AAAA" rate. If this
reservation is changed and another day added, the system automatically uses the
rate plan for the last day (AAAA) for the new day. The reservationist
normally does not "see" what rate was used for the new day. With
the new switch set to "YES" the system would automatically display
rates after the extra day was added so that the reservation can see the new
rates and inform the guest.
