In order to ensure CPS compliance, customers with RDP's Southern Datacomm Credit Card Interface module should ALWAYS swipe credit cards at check-in. When a guest checks-in, RDP prompts:

If a credit card exists on the reservation, and option 2 is selected, the system prompts:

At this point, it is imperative that the card is swiped using option 3 above. By swiping the card, it proves that the card was present for the transaction, ensuring lower rates.
