Obtaining
an External Routable IP Address

Internet Connection Requirements
Prior to installing the Internet Reservation Module, certain "Internet Requirements" must be met.
Any questions regarding the following "Internet Requirements" should be directed to your Internet Service Provider or website developer. The following diagram attempts to illustrate how the External Routable IP address is routed to the internal address on the IRM Bridge Server.

The Data and IRM Server must be in the same subnet range.
Only 1 Network Card should be installed on both the
Data Server and the IRM Server
In the above example the " External Routable IP address " 65.38.150.15
is routed to the Internal
IRM IP address 192.168.43.8.
Part of the IRM installation requires manually
assigning an IP address ( Internal Non- Routable ) to the IRM Bridge Server.
Example : 192.168.43.8. This internal address must be in the same
subnet range as the RDP data server. If the IP for the IRM Bridge is
192.168.43.8 then the IP for the data server must be 192.168.43.xxx, where
"xxx is between 1 and 255 but not "8".
An external, routable IP address is also required. This is the address used by guests, travel agents, groups, etc to access the IRM. This " External Routable IP " address must be obtained from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). The firewall is then configured to redirect the HTTP requests (port 80) from the external IP address to the Internal IP address on the IRM Bridge Server.
