Switch 424-5: New Switch for Printing Folios

Added: 7/13/2000 - Version - 12.02 and Higher

Overview

A new switch has been added in Version 12.02 that controls the default for printing folios upon checkout. Switch #424-5, Default answer during checkout for "Print a Folio?", can be set to YES or NO, based on whether or not the property prints folios for guests during checkout. With a "YES" setting in switch #424-5, the "Print a Folio" prompt appears as:

Note, the default for printing a folio is set to "Y" (Yes). Even with a default of "YES", the clerk can override the default by entering an "N" (for NO).

To Enable

Update to Version 12.02, revision number 98.
Set switch #424-5 to YES or NO.

To Disable

Switch #424-5 exists in all Version 12.02 systems, revision #98 and higher. Please set the switch according to your front desk procedures. If most guests receive a folio at checkout, set switch #424-5 to YES. If folios are NOT distributed at checkout, set switch #424-5 to NO.
